Shipping Policy

Every item is sent after payment is cleared. Chalk Designs send via the Royal Mail Special Delivery service, which means items are insured appropriately and parcels will be delivered the next working day. Once the parcel is sent Chalk Designs have no control over it and so will not except responsibility for loss or damage during this transition, however every parcel is tracked and covered by the Special Delivery insurance so do let us know if a parcel is late and we will investigate. If you order more than one item these will be sent in one parcel unless otherwise specified. International shipments will cost more depending on the destination, and delivery time may be extended to 3-5 weeks. Due to Custom’s inspections and processing this can sometimes take longer, and please be aware that you are responsible for any custom duties, taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, or tariffs levied after the item has been posted. These fees could be applied to your package at the discretion of your local customs officers/post office, and has happened when shipping to such destinations as New Zealand and Australia.

Processing Time

Current order processing time is approximately 2-4 weeks. This time does not include shipping and can take longer for international destinations. However if you have a date you need the jewellery by please get in contact and we will endeavour to complete the order in time.

Commissions

For commission or personalised orders we take a 50% deposit up front, and once the piece is paid in full we do not accept returns, as it is a personalised piece that cannot be sold on. However, if there was any problem we would of course be happy to talk through other options. If you have an idea for a bespoke order please let us know via the contact page.

Jewellery Care

All metal tarnishes, scratches, dents and ages, so if you want your jewellery to look its best you need to periodically clean it. This can be done using professional liquids suitable for each metal, such as Goddards range of dips, or you can simply use a soft tooth brush with a small amount of washing up liquid. Small nicks and dents are unavoidable, even in platinum, but if these marks bother you please don’t hesitate to get in contact and we will give it a professional clean and polish for the small cost of £10 plus postage costs, however most local jewellers offer this service also. We are happy to repair any of the jewellery brought from us for a small fee, however if an item of jewellery has been brought more recently and has broken due to mistake of the design then we will repair it for free. Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with the product you purchased (and we hope this is never the case), then please get in contact. To refund or exchange any item you must return it within 2 weeks after you received it, and it must be in the condition it was sold.
